NORTEK to increase presence in the power generation market in the second half of 2019

NORTEK continues to intensify efforts to increase and diversify exports into more industries and product ranges. As a result of such endeavor, our company will be significantly increasing its turnover from the power generation sector in the second semester of 2019, mainly due to the attainment of three important orders from KSB Aktiengesellschaft, a world-class supplier of pumps and valves headquartered in Frankenthal, Germany.

On one side, NORTEK will be supplying in November 2019 six oil circulation systems destined for the United States. Four of them will provide safe lubrication to KSB’s water boiler-feed pumps, which will be installed at a new combined-cycle natural gas electric generating facility built in Columbiana County (Ohio) by Bechtel, the largest construction company in North America. Known as South Field Energy project, the plant “is expected to deliver a clean, reliable and efficient source of energy to more than one million homes in the region”.

Designing tailor-made compact lube systems for the oil&gas and power generation sectors is one of NORTEK’s distinguishing marks

The other two systems belong to a modernization project at PCA’s pulp&paper production facility in Filer City (Michigan). In this case, the lubricated pumps will be installed at an adjoining power plant that supplies steam to the productive process of the paper mill.

Additionally, NORTEK has bagged an order for the engineering of new oil circulation systems for the lubrication of the bearings within KSB’s water boiler-feed pumps destined for STEAG’s combined-cycle power plant in Herne, Germany.

Designing tailor-made compact lube systems at competitive prices is one of NORTEK’s distinguishing marks. The fact that our welding procedures have been certified according to ISO 3834-3 standards, combined with our totally segregated area for stainless steel welding and boilerwork, allow us to guarantee top manufacturing quality to our strategic clients in the power generation sector.
